Días antes de su trágica muerte
Natascha Gurdin, más conocida como  Natalie Wood nació el 20 de Julio de 1938, en San Francisco (California). Murió en el mar, frente a la isla de Santa Catalina, el 29 de Noviembre de 1981.

Han pasado más de 30 años desde la muerte de Natalie Wood, la estrella de West Side Story o Esplendor en la hierba y cada día hay más incógnitas sobre la misma. Durante años, Hollywood lloró la inesperada muerte de Wood como un trágico accidente. El que tuvo lugar el 29 de noviembre de 1981, cuando disfrutaba del día de Acción de Gracias junto a su marido, el actor Robert Wagner, y un amigo de ambos, el también intérprete Christopher Walken, a bordo del yate The Splendour frente a las costas de la isla Catalina, en las proximidades de Los Ángeles. Tenía 43 años. Sin embargo, la sorpresa y el duelo dejaron paso a un culebrón cuando en el 30 aniversario de su fallecimiento y coincidiendo con la publicación de un libro del capitán del yate, la policía decidió reabrir la investigación de su muerte ante lo que consideraban indicios suficientes de criminalidad.


El nuevo informe se hizo público poco días después e indica que el cuerpo de Wood presentaba cardenales en los brazos, un arañazo en el cuello y abrasiones en la cara que no parecían producidos de manera mecánica y que habían marcado su cuerpo antes de caer al agua. De ahí la decisión de añadir los factores por determinar a la primera causa indicada de su muerte, ahogamiento. “La ubicación de los cardenales, su número y la falta de un trauma craneal o facial apoya la teoría de que los moratones ocurrieron antes de su entrada en el agua”, detalla el nuevo informe.  Pero vamos a quedarnos con su parte positiva, la que merece Natalie Wood.
