Jurgen Klopp was labelled a 'soft German' but the Liverpool manager is taking on the Premier League's toughest on their own turf... and says: 'I've been called worse!'

  • Jurgen Klopp was not happy with a challenge made by Jeremain Lens
  • Police officers had to step in after Klopp's angry reaction to the tackle
  • Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce labelled Klopp a 'soft German'
  • But Klopp has not been afraid to get stuck into senior British managers
  • The Liverpool boss recently had rows with Alan Pardew and Tony Pulis

Sam Allardyce branded Jurgen Klopp a 'soft German' on Wednesday night yet the Liverpool manager is anything but.
Klopp joined the Premier League in October and has not been afraid to get stuck into senior British bosses on their home turf, with Allardyce the latest to be involved in a heated exchange.
That altercation at the Stadium of Light followed rows with Alan Pardew and Tony Pulis this season as Klopp keeps up his fiery reputation from Borussia Dortmund.

Police officers had to step in on Wednesday after Klopp reacted angrily to a tackle from Sunderland's Jeremain Lens on Mamadou Sakho - a challenge he believes deserved a sending off.
Lens only received a yellow card during the 1-0 win for Liverpool but Klopp and his backroom staff's row with the Sunderland bench made the headlines before he was labelled 'soft' by Big Sam.
