Islamic State beheads ten supporters following 'treason'

The Islamic State has beheaded ten of its own followers in public after they reportedly abandoned their posts.

A Sharia court is believed to have found the militants guilty of ‘high treason’ after they fled battlefront in the Iraq city of Mosul.

The troops fled as clashes took place between jihadis and Kurdish Peshmerga forces, according to ARA News.

The troops were beheaded on Sunday before hundreds of fighters.

Reports state it occurred in the public square in the town of Baa’j.

The Sun reported The Sharia Court of Mosul decided to behead them in front of hundreds of ISIS members in order to prevent others from doing the same without the permission.

Six of those beheaded were Syrian nationals, while the rest were Western jihadis, according to sources.

Previously ISIS has used public beheadings to warn followers to obey orders.

In November the death cult executed 73 militant fighters after they tried to flee battle with the Kurdish Peshmerga forces in the Sinjar to the north of Baa’j.
