- Cristiano Ronaldo stars as the new Macaulay Culkin in a Christmas advert
- Ronaldo is left home alone after his family leave him to go on holiday
- The Real Madrid star recreates famous scenes from 1990 Home Alone film
Following the release of the 'Ronaldo' documentary film, the 31-year-old clearly has a taste for more scenes on the small screen.
Anything Macaulay Culkin can do, Ronaldo can do better. In the bizarre advert, the Portuguese forward attempts to live on his own while his family leave him stranded at home.
In the advert for Porto FC sponsors and Portuguese telecoms company Meo, Ronaldo recreates some iconic scenes from the films, including scaring the pizza delivery man away using television gun shots as a prop.
Other famous clips include his family rushing to get to the airport, his mother realising on the flight that he left his 31-year-old son at home and Ronaldo putting aftershave on his face moments before screaming.
Just like in the movie, it is a happy ending for Ronaldo as his family eventually return home and give him a big hug.
Who knows, maybe after his footballing career ends, Ronaldo could have a successful future in the movie industry. Perhaps he is maybe a little too old for any Home Alone-style movies though.
Ronaldo is currently on duty with Portugal ahead of their World Cup qualifier with Latvia on November 13.
Following the international break, Ronaldo and his Real team-mates will look to maintain their lead at top of La Liga, when they face rivals Atletico Madrid on November 19 .
