The Sun revealed that that the only celebrity to show up to the opening of his pop-up restaurant Cosy Box was EastEnders actor Sid Owen.
Jean Bernard had promised a glitzy bash and had told pals he would have two American actresses on his arms but it never transpired.
A restaurant guest revealed: “He was really stressed out, as things didn’t go smoothly.
“He had to postpone the opening for an hour because they were still laying carpet and painting the walls right up until 9.30pm, when guests were finally allowed in.
“There were a few groups of models there, including ladies from Elite Models who said JB had invited them at the last minute to make sure it was busy and to add some glamour.
“It didn’t look like they were paying.
“Waiters also gave out the wrong menus and some customers didn’t have plates when their food arrived.
“It was a disaster and JB kept telling everyone they would fare better the next day.”
A source also revealed that it was a tough night for Jean-Bernard as it was the same venue where he had met Cheryl two years before.
