Barça. FC Barcelona stars cover Dani Alves in eggs and flour at training as Brazilian defender celebrates his 33rd birthday

  • Dani Alves was attacked with baking ingredients to mark his 33rd birthday
  • The Brazilian appears to have been a victim of a new club tradition
  • Alves helped cover compatriot Adriano in flour and eggs in October
  • Barca will retain La Liga title if they win their two remaining games
The three-time Champions League was greeted by balloons and a cake from his model girlfriend Joana Sanz before training, but had to settle for the raw ingredients from his colleagues.

Barcelona went on an uncharacteristic skid in April, losing three league games to surrender their 10-point advantage in La Liga and being knocked out of the Champions League by Atletico Madrid.
While they are still top of the table on account of their head-to-head record with Atletico, Luis Enrique's side are level on points with Atletico and just one ahead of their Real Madrid.
To rub salt in the wounds, it will be a Castile club that takes Barca's Champions League crown with Atletico and Real set to meet in the final in Milan on May 28.
Barca will retain La Liga if they win their two remaining games at home to local rivals Espanyol and away at Grenada.
